watching "The Voice"... i think the problem with shows like this and American Idol is that it boils down to vocal chords and performance.  essentially they're missing the biggest point, "What do you have to say?" Art can be perfect technical execution, but real art, the kind that pushes boundaries and makes new landscapes... that requires original thought, innovation, breaking things apart and putting them back together again.  I understand this is a show for normal america... but the entire premise bothers me still because it seems that one essential element is missing from it all.
